Abstract: Ad-hoc Social Network (ASN) is a blend of social and ad-hoc networks. Today, most mobile phones have Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Cellular radio and can support ad-hoc communication mode. ASN is a social network where people of similar interests connect using ad-hoc communication modes of mobile devices. ASN has its advantages as it uses an infrastructure-less network for communication. ASN is more meaningful as users are interested in knowing which other users have similar interests and are within communication range, so they can chat or personally talk about current interests.
